CREATING YOUR PATTERN:

MEASURMENTS NEEDED:
- Desired Hem Length (I find it easiest to measure something else you own to get this)
- Desired CB Length
- Desired Sleeve Length
- Desired Cuff circumference
Puff Sleeve
PATTERN:

BACK:
Use 5mm hook
We will begin this top at the hem and work our way up to the shoulders and then create the front panels.
FOUNDATION CHAIN: Ch 70 (this is where you use half your hem length, chain a little bit longer than your desired length as this will decrease once you start to crochet into your chain)
ROW 1: HDC into every chain, Ch 1 and turn
ROW 2 - desired length: HDC into every stitch, Ch 1 and turn
Create back to be the length of your cardigan you desire (for me this was 60ROWS)
Ch 2 to fasten off and pull yarn through

FRONT:
FOUNDATION:Ch 32
ROW 1 -  We are now at the shoulder so to begin the front we need to HDC into the next 32 stitches (this will change depending on how many you began with, it should be a little less than half the back to allow for the neck), Ch 1 and turn
ROW 2 - desired length: HDC into every stitch, Ch 1 and turn
Create front to be the same length as the back so make sure you do the exact same amount of rows (for me this was 60ROWS)
Ch 2 to fasten off and pull yarn through
Repeat for other side.
SLEEVES:
FOUNDATION:Ch 30(this is to be your chosen cuff circumference, it is a good idea to test this around your wrist and chain a little extra than needed.)
ROW 1- 7: HDC into every chain, Ch 1 and turn
ROW 2 - 7: HDC into every stitch, Ch 1 and turn
ROW 8 - 17: HDC into 2 times into the 1st St, HDC into the next 9 St(s), repeat this all the way along the row, Ch 1 and turn
ROW 18 - 42 (or if you are wanting longer add rows here):HDC into every stitch, Ch 1 and turn
ROW 43 - 50: HDC the first 2 St(s) togethert, HDC into the next 9 St(s), repeat this all the way along the row, Ch 1 and turn
ROW 51: HDC into every stitch
Ch 2 to fasten off and pull yarn through
FINISHING:
Change hook to 3mm
Weave in all your ends with needle
I also love to use a bit of steam from the iron to make the basket look beautiful and finished.
Now you have a beautiful Halter neck top that will be made to your own perfect fit!
